Obtaining the EBIR Certificate

Sviatoslav Mykolayovych Balaka, head of the Association of Interventional Oncologists of Ukraine, has successfully passed the examination and obtained the EBIR (European Board of Interventional Radiology) certificate.

This examination is based on the European curriculum and is designed to assess the clinical and technical knowledge of interventional radiologists necessary for the safe and effective treatment of patients. The EBIR certificate does not replace national licensing in European countries, but it serves as a testament to the competence and professional level of an interventional radiologist.

Currently, there are only 1,194 EBIR-certified interventional radiologists worldwide, and Sviatoslav Balaka is the only one in Ukraine!
